Basra Heavy crude closed in its last session yesterday, Friday, at an increase of $1.60, reaching $83.71, and recorded weekly gains of $1.6, equivalent to 1.14%.
While Basra Average crude closed in its last session yesterday, at an increase of $1.69, reaching $85.56, and also recorded weekly gains amounting to $1.6, or the equivalent of 1.14%.
Global oil markets achieved a third weekly jump in a row, supported by growing expectations that the US Federal Reserve will soon begin reducing interest rates, which would support demand for fuel.
The two standard crude oils (Brent and West Texas Intermediate) also achieved monthly gains of about 5.9% each, and during the second quarter of 2024, West Texas Intermediate crude recorded losses of about 1.9%, and Brent crude fell by 1.2%./End
