Erdogan said in a joint press conference held today with his Estonian counterpart, Alar Karis, in the capital Ankara: "Permanent peace in Palestine goes through the two-state solution, and the international community must put its weight in this direction to achieve peace.
He stressed that those responsible for the barbaric practices in the Gaza Strip will be held accountable before international law sooner or later.
He pointed out that his country will continue its efforts to achieve a ceasefire and deliver humanitarian aid in order to end the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza.
Regarding Turkey's membership in the European Union, he said: "Full membership in the European Union is a strategic goal for us, and it is clear that it is in the common interest for the European Union to deal with Turkey from a similar perspective."
Regarding the situation in Ukraine, he stated that "ending the destruction in Ukraine and reaching a just solution for the parties is possible through diplomacy, and we adhere to our view that initiatives that exclude Russia will not yield results."
Erdogan stressed his country's support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, and that the solution can only be achieved through diplomacy.
Regarding bilateral relations, Erdogan said that he and Karis They emphasized the common will to develop bilateral relations and discussed the joint steps to be taken in this direction.
He said that the two countries have the potential to strengthen cooperation in all areas and that they can increase bilateral trade and mutual investments.
He added that as NATO allies, they will be able to develop the existing cooperation in the defense industry through additional concrete projects.
