Brent crude futures for August delivery rose by eight cents, reaching $85.15 a barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate crude for June delivery fell by 27 cents, reaching $81.30 a barrel.
Figures from the American Petroleum Institute showed that US crude inventories rose by 2.264 million barrels in the week ending June 14, while gasoline inventories decreased./End
