The Prime Minister’s Media Office said in a statement, “The Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani, chaired, today, Thursday, a meeting of the leaders of the security and military services in the Najaf Governorate, in the presence of the Governor of Najaf, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Intelligence and Federal Investigation Affairs, and the Chairman of the Security Committee in the governorate.
Al-Sudani stressed, according to the statement, that the security stability of Najaf Al-Ashraf is of great importance because of the religious, historical, social, civilizational and cultural status it represents, stressing the need to develop the technical and field capabilities of the security services in the governorate.
Al-Sudani stressed the need for security work to be parallel to the construction, reconstruction and development movement in Iraq, stressing the need not to be complacent in the security file due to its sensitivity, and to exert the highest levels of intelligence effort to achieve security.
He directed to pay attention to the security members and their affairs, and to attend to their needs, making them at the highest level of readiness to perform their duties and deal with all cases to achieve continuity of security, he also directed the necessity of dealing appropriately with citizens, and reflecting a bright image of the state and its security services./End
