Baghdad / NINA/- The American media unanimously agreed that President Joe Biden’s performance in the debate between him and former President Donald Trump was “disastrous,” and that the Democratic Party must sound the alarm.
The New York Post said: “Millions witnessed the end of Joe Biden’s presidency live on television. Biden’s performance during the debate was awkward, he did not look old, he seemed empty.”
It added: "Biden cannot survive this, and it is political malpractice to allow him to continue running for re-election. It is national malpractice to allow him to continue. Biden has spent an entire week preparing for this debate, and this is the best he can do. This is something that should terrify everyone".
While CNN saw that President Joe Biden's performance in the debate raised alarm bells among senior Democrats, leaving some to openly wonder whether Biden can remain at the top of the Democratic list.
It pointed out that the presidential debate presented a major test for Biden to show activity and energy, but Democratic sources said that they "feel terrified about Biden's biggest weaknesses."
For its part, Bloomberg Agency considered that the Democratic Party should “press the panic button in the disastrous Biden debate,” noting that the president’s performance included stumbles, repeated speech, coughing, and false statements, and that he froze for a long time that would raise fears related to his physical and mental fitness.
It added: "Biden's gamble failed. He is a tired president whose age is clearly 81. Instead of proving to voters that he has the ability to endure another term in the White House, everything that could prove the opposite happened."

It quoted a strategist who worked in presidential campaigns as saying, “The Democrats committed a mass suicide, as Biden appeared tired and chattered about President Biden not being able to win, and this debate was a nail in the coffin of politics.”
CNBC revealed that many top fundraisers in the Democratic Party particularly sounded the alarm after Biden's disappointing performance in the debate.
