The delegation, which presented evidence of crimes, especially against women and children, to officials of the ICC Prosecutor's Office and the Victims' Office, visited the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, as well as meeting at the International Criminal Court.
The head of the human rights delegation, head of the Second Bar Association in Istanbul, Yassin Shamli, said in a press statement that they referred the files of genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza to the International Criminal Court with 10 lawyers.
Shamli stated that they submitted a complaint petition bearing the signatures of three thousand and 60 lawyers from 12 countries to the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court in November 2023 regarding war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide crimes in Gaza.
He added: “We previously submitted a request with a list of evidence in 3 volumes, but this genocide continues every day, women and children are killed, and places of worship, refugee camps and hospitals are bombed, and therefore the crimes and evidence of these crimes are constantly increasing and that is why we submitted it yesterday, Thursday.”
He stressed that they created separate files, especially regarding the genocide of Gaza women and the genocide of children, based on the evidence.
Shamli said: "The number of children killed exceeded 21,000. The number of children and women killed constitutes 70 % of the approximately 40,000 Palestinian deaths."
