The Ministry of Defense stated in a statement: "The Deputy Chief of Staff was received by the Commander of the Special Forces Division and the Secretary of Inspection at the Army Chief of Staff and the supervisor of the Operational Capabilities Program, as part of future planning to develop Iraqi army units."
The meeting discussed: "Involving one of the Special Forces regiments in the Operational Capabilities Development Program, which includes organizational, training and armament, for the purpose of generalizing the experience in the future to the rest of the Iraqi army units."
The Deputy Chief of Staff appreciated the role of the NATO Mission in Iraq in implementing such training, given its importance in preparing competent fighters capable of achieving the desired goals. / End
