The Kurdish media network, Rudaw, reported this morning, Wednesday, that the Sidekan district was bombed with artillery of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards.
Sidekan district is located within the borders of Soran District of Erbil Governorate in the Kurdistan Region.
The Mayor of the village of Barbizin, Muhammad Majid, told the network that "at exactly 8:02 a.m., the first Iranian shell fell in the village of Barbizin," noting that " so far, one or two shells have fallen, from time to time, in that area."
For his part, the Director of the Sidekan district confirmed to Rudaw Media Network that "the bombing is far from populated areas, and no human or material losses were recorded."
A source in the city of Sheno, in eastern Kurdistan, said that the Revolutionary Guards are installing artillery in the "Dolmaidan" heights, and they are directing long-range missiles from there towards the Bradost region in the Kurdistan region.
