Head of the Front Sheikh Wasfi al-Assi said in a press conference held in Kirkuk with the participation of a number of Arab parties and personalities, that the initiative comes in response to the desire of the Arab people in Kirkuk not now, but over the past elections, the Arab wants to unite politicians, blocs and parties and enter in one list. He made it clear that the Arabs in Kirkuk can get their full rights only through coming under the banner of one electoral list.
"The Arab front does not have red lines on any political party and wants to cooperate with everyone, provided that the conditions are not set in advance," he said.
He called on the Arabs to put pressure on the Arab politicians in order to urge them to work properly and not to deviate from the general context.
He explained that naming the Kurdish parties their electoral list as (Kirkuk Kurdistan), contrary to the law establishing and registering political parties and entities No. 36 of 2015, Article 5, paragraph 2 in the chapter of the basic principles that prevent the establishment of the party on the basis of racism, terrorism, takfir, sectarian, intellectual, sectarian, ethnic and nationalist intolerance.
He said we will register an official objection to the naming that list (Kirkuk Kurdistan) to the Independent High Electoral Commission, as a cause of sectarian strife.
It is noteworthy that the Kurdish parties in Kirkuk, announced on Monday, September 9, 2019, with the exception of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, to participate in the elections with one list which is "Kirkuk Kurdistan”./ End
