Al-Dakhil told the Iraqi National News Agency (NINA) that "the plan includes rehabilitating damaged neighborhoods and providing a safe environment to ensure a stable return," noting that the reconstruction of dozens of churches has been completed and work continues on others that will be opened in early 2026.
For his part, Bishop al-Shamani praised the local government's efforts in supporting the Christian community and restoring life to the Nineveh Plain, emphasizing that "cooperation between religious leaders and local authorities strengthens the prospects for stability and diversity in the province." /End
