Al-Sudani praised the efforts of the Ministry of Construction and Housing, the Baghdad Municipality, the follow-up team in the Prime Minister's Office, and the Baghdad Local Government. He commended the performance of the implementing company and thanked the people of Baghdad for their patience and tolerance of the traffic congestion during the project's implementation period.
The Prime Minister explained that this project is one of 16 projects initiated by the Ministry of Construction and Housing to relieve traffic congestion in Baghdad, 11 of which have been completed to date. He emphasized the priority of service projects for the government's work in Baghdad and the governorates, through work on several tracks, including completing stalled projects and implementing new projects in the infrastructure, sanitation, and drinking water sectors, as well as housing projects, new cities, and developed lands.
The statement continued, "The Tobji roundabout project was implemented under the supervision of the Department of The Ministry of Construction and Housing's Roads and Bridges Project is a component of the Al-Tubji and Al-Shalchiya Intersection Development Project. It will help relieve congestion at Ebin Hayyan Bridge at its intersection with 14th of July Street and facilitate the flow of traffic between the areas of Adhamiya, Mansour, Al-Alawi, and Aden Square.
The statement explained, "The project consists of two roundabouts: the first, 950 meters long, towards Al-Alawi area, and the second, 550 meters long, towards Aden Square. /End
