Istanbul (NINA) - Turkish intelligence announced the killing of a leader in the Kurdistan Workers' Party ( PKK) in a security operation it carried out in northern Iraq.
Turkish intelligence stated in a media circular today that the leader in PKK, Ramzi Oji, disguised as Chea Amid, is listed on the “red notice” of the Turkish judiciary’s wanted list and was the PKK's official in the city of Kirkuk.
It indicated in its circular that Ramzi Oji joined the PKK in 1992, and participated in many armed activities in the Turkish state of Diyarbakir, the Syrian city of Afrin, and the Sinjar and Ghara regions in Iraq.
Turkish intelligence explained that Oji was being followed by them and was neutralized in a special Turkish intelligence operation in the city of Sulaymaniyah in northern Iraq./End
