The Turkish Defense Ministry stated in a statement today, Sunday, that one of the Turkish army units stationed in the area of the Claw Lock operations in northern Iraq monitored the movements of a number of PKK militants, which necessitated launching an air strike on the locations of the PKK militants’ movements, which resulted in the killing of five of them.
The Turkish army carried out a large military operation on April 18 of last year and is still continuing, called Claw Lock, against the strongholds of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party in the areas of Matina, Al-Zab, Afshin, and Bazian in northern Iraq. /End
