It said in a statement that Kirkuk witnessed angry mass demonstrations over the decision of the commander in-chief of the armed forces to hand over operations headquarters to the Kurdistan Democratic Party.
It stressed that this authentic Iraqi province has a very special situation and has complexity of which the decision-makers must observe.
It said, as we reiterate our stand with the demands of the masses of Kirkuk, we call on the Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, to reverse his recent decision because it came at an inappropriate time and the masses are still afraid to restore the situation to before 17/10/2017, which might led to threaten the peaceful coexistence between the sects and nationalities of this dear province, which is a mini Iraq that includes all components of the Iraqi people. /End
