Baghdad / NINA /- The Turkish Foreign Ministry confirmed that Turkey will defend itself against any sabotage activity launched from Iraqi territory.
"We have already responded to Iraqi sites regarding the Eagle Claw and Tiger Claw operations targeting the PKK, whose hands are stained with blood and taken from Iraq as a stronghold, but we recently found new baseless data that were published on the Iraqi sites," Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman Hami Aksoy said in a statement. "
Aksoy added, "Once again we are reminded that we are ready to cooperate and jointly confront the PKK, which endangers Iraq's security and violates its sovereignty."
He continued, "as long as we waited and no response was issued, Turkey, within the framework of international law for legitimate self-defense, will address every sabotage activity launched from the territory of Iraq, and will continue to take the necessary measures to respond to those activities." / End
