The ministry said in a statement: "According to the text approved by a joint delegation of 23 figures, including 17 members from the Iraqi Ministry of Oil delegation, the meetings began on July 17 and included comprehensive field visits to all oil fields in the region."
It added: "After assessing technical issues and conducting extensive discussions, an agreement was reached on August 11 on the mechanism for exporting oil from the region's fields, whereby 50,000 barrels of daily production will initially be allocated to meet the region's domestic needs, while the remainder will be delivered to the State Oil Marketing Organization (SOMO) for export purposes."
It emphasized: "The resumption of oil exports from the Kurdistan Region requires the federal government to hold discussions with the Turkish government to ensure the agreement is implemented."/ End
