The Office of the Head of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan said in a statement today: “The independence of the judiciary remains one of the basic pillars of the democratic structure and the governance path of developed countries,” pointing out that “consolidating the rule of law and the pillars of justice are among the pillars of political and social stability and are the guarantee and guarantor of the rights of citizens and society in Iraq and the Kurdistan region.”

It added: "At a time when we renew our support for the decisions of the Federal Court and its recognized role in preserving the constitution, achieving justice, and protecting the constitutional path of the democratic system, we denounce the defamation and abuse of the Federal Supreme Court, the accused, which is an independent, professional court that contributed to protecting the political system in Iraq," indicating that "protecting its independence and confronting any abuses are at the core of constitutional duties and national tasks.”

It pointed out: "The Iraqi judiciary is known for its independence, and respect for it reflects the progress and civilization of society, and it is an important factor that makes citizens feel stable, secure, and secure, and their rights are guaranteed."

It explained: “Let us work together to instill the spirit of absolute reverence for the law, learn to resort to it, and establish the independence, integrity, and impartiality of the judiciary, which the late President Mam Jalal contributed to establishing within the Iraqi constitution.”/End
