Najaf / NINA / - Najaf Police Command announced the death of a child and the wounding of two others seriously as a result of the explosion of a war remnant bomb in a landfill.
Najaf Police Spokesperson Lt. Col. Miqdad Al-Mousawi said, “while a group of citizens were digging near a garbage dump, a foreign object, which was of old war remnants, exploded and injured three people, including a 10-year-old girl who died while the other two were undergoing treatment inside Al-Hakim General Hospital.
Al-Mousawi indicated that an investigation was opened into the incident, calling on citizens to stay away from foreign objects and report them by calling the toll-free number 104./ End.
