In a statement, the embassy said it participated in the signing ceremony, which was attended by Chargé d'Affaires ad interim, Minister Plenipotentiary Thaer Wahib Hussein. Hussein emphasized the importance of encouraging companies to enter the Iraqi market and capitalize on available investment opportunities, particularly in the productive and developmental sectors.
The statement added that the head of the Development Fund for Iraq, Mohammed Al-Najjar, signed the memorandum on behalf of Iraq, while the bank's Director of European and International Affairs, Isabelle Pepier, signed on behalf of France.
The embassy explained that the memorandum aims to support sustainable economic growth, enhance employment opportunities, and increase the competitiveness of the Iraqi economy, in addition to encouraging innovation and development through contributing to the financing of strategic projects within Iraq. It continued, stating that this step is part of Iraq's efforts to strengthen economic and investment cooperation with France and open new horizons for development partnerships between the two sides./ End
