Hadi Eidi Pour, head of the Shiraz Fire Department, stated that the fire erupted at a gas cylinder filling facility in the Hizam Shiraz area. He added that a large-scale operational response was immediately deployed to contain the incident. Seven fire stations, equipped with eleven heavy and medium fire trucks, participated in controlling the blaze from three different directions.
Eidi Pour noted that the fire occurred at 18:01 local time and resulted in minor injuries, with the affected individuals promptly transferred to emergency teams for treatment. He emphasized that the cause of the fire remains under investigation by fire department experts to determine its circumstances accurately.
Separately, Masoud Abed, head of emergency services in Fars Province, told the Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA) that nine people were injured, seven of whom received on-site treatment, while two were transferred to Shahid Rajaei Hospital for further care. He added that most of the injuries were caused by the explosions at the scene, confirming a strong blast had occurred during the fire.
