Araghchi Holds Telephone Consultations With 12 Regional Foreign Ministers Within 48 Hours
In a post on the platform "Instagram," Araghchi stated that his discussions—held with the foreign ministers of Oman, Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Cyprus, Turkey, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Tunisia, Iraq, and Pakistan—included a comprehensive review of the latest regional and international developments, with a focus on the repercussions of the current escalation and provocative actions by the United States and the Zionist entity.
The Iranian minister explained that, during these consultations, he outlined Iran’s principled positions, emphasizing "the necessity of respecting the national sovereignty of states, halting all forms of aggression and threats, and avoiding foreign interventions that could undermine stability." He further underscored "the responsibility of regional states to curb the spread of insecurity."
Araghchi also stressed "Iran’s legitimate right to defend its sovereignty and national security," and called for the formulation of regional security arrangements based on mutual cooperation, free from the interference of external powers./ End
