Interior Ministry: 328 Rumors Detected Last Month
Baghdad/NINA/ – The Ministry of Interior announced that statistical data from its Anti-Rumors Department recorded a total of 328 rumors circulating across social media platforms and media outlets during the month of October.
Major General Miqdad Miri, Head of the Ministry’s Department of Relations and Media, stated: "According to the data collected, there were 128 security-related rumors, followed by 95 political rumors. In the economic and social sectors, 49 rumors were recorded for each, while health-related rumors ranked lowest, with only 7."
The Head of the Department of Relations and Media emphasized that the Ministry of Interior continues to monitor and analyze rumors, taking necessary legal and security measures. Simultaneously, the Ministry is intensifying its awareness-raising efforts and providing the public with timely clarifications of the facts, aiming to curb the spread of misleading information and maintain social stability. / End
