The Iranian Army Announces A Shift To An "Offensive Doctrine"
Brigadier General Mohammad Akrami-Nia, a spokesperson for the Iranian military, told the Fars News Agency that this shift was made in accordance with directives from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. He noted that the change encompasses both tactics and strategy, moving away from the previously defensive-oriented doctrine.
A few days earlier, Akrami-Nia warned that "any new American aggression will be met with a response that is more severe and broader in scope than before."
He added that "the geography of any future confrontation will not be limited to West Asia."
Meanwhile, Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has issued strategic directives to senior commanders, which include mandates for an immediate response—unconstrained by geographical boundaries—and the updating of target lists to encompass American and Israeli assets./ End
