Baghdad / NINA /– President of the General Federation of Arab Journalists, Moayad Al-Lami, participated in the meetings of Arab Information Ministers held at the headquarters of the Arab League in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.

In a press statement on Thursday, Al-Lami said he had held cordial discussions with the information ministers of Egypt, Jordan, Palestine and Syria, as well as several Arab delegations, the Arab League’s Assistant Secretary-General for Media Affairs and a number of other officials and prominent figures. The discussions focused on issues concerning Arab media.

Al-Lami added that he briefed the participants on the situation in Iraq, highlighting the country's security stability, ongoing reconstruction campaigns and the current state of the Iraqi journalistic community and its professional affairs.

The head of the Federation of Arab Journalists noted that the officials and representatives he met had expressed their appreciation and respect for Iraq, its people and the Iraqi journalistic community./ End
