Egyptian Minister of Information and President of the General Union of Arab Journalists Discuss Bilateral Relations and Preparations for the Union’s General Conference in Baghdad
Baghdad / NINA /- The Head of the General Union of Arab Journalists, Moyad al-Lami, met in Cairo with the Egyptian Minister of Information, Diaa Rashwan. The two sides discussed ways to strengthen media relations between the two brotherly nations.
The meeting also addressed ongoing preparations for the 15th General Conference of the General Union of Arab Journalists, which is scheduled to be held in Baghdad.
Al-Lami and Rashwan discussed the work of the Union’s committees and the necessity of activating them in the coming period. They affirmed the continued cooperation between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Union, as well as a commitment to further developing these relations.
The meeting was attended by the Union’s Secretary-General, Khaled Miri; the Head of the Freedoms Committee, Abdel Wahab Zghailat; Assistant Minister Dr. Ahmed Yahya; the official in charge of audiovisual media, Mohamed Salah; and the official in charge of journalistic content, Gamal Hussein. / End
