The Turkish army said in a statement that the leader of the Kurdistan Workers' Party, Muhammad Khatib Ari Turk, a member of the "PKK" terrorist organization, was spotted by an intelligence force and was killed in a joint operation by the Turkish army in Mount Qandil in northern Iraq.
