MP Jawad Hamdan said in a joint press conference: "The current version of this law has retained privileges for some officials, including the three Presidencies, Ministers, Directors, Undersecretaries and Advisers," noting: "The amendments are not commensurate with the demands of the demonstrators and the Iraqi street."
He added: "The law in its current form did not provide for the restoration of cars and the Houses of officials since the period of the Governing Council until the present day," noting: "Some officials in the state, since 2003 and so far, enjoy the privileges and role of luxury and a large number of cars and the new law did not provide for the withdrawal of these privileges from those officials and their protections. / End
