The Turkish Defense Ministry stated in a statement today, Wednesday, that a group of militants from the PKK opened fire on a site of one of the Turkish army units in charge of the Claw Lock operations in northern Iraq, and after an exchange of fire, the soldiers of that unit were able to kill four of the PKK's militants, while the rest of the members of the armed group fled.
It is noteworthy that the Turkish army had carried out a large military operation on April 18, 2021, and it is still continuing, called Claw Lock, against the strongholds of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party in the areas of Matina, Al-Zab, Afshin, and Bazian in northern Iraq./End
