The media official at the Iranian Consulate, Hamid Helmi Zadeh, said in a statement to a NINA correspondent, “Three ballot boxes were opened in three locations, the first at the consulate headquarters, the second at a tourist hotel, and the third circulating among expatriates who hold Iranian citizenship in Najaf Al-Ashraf.”
Zadeh added, "Two voting sites were opened in Diwaniyah and Samawah governorates."
Zadeh pointed out that the voting centers witnessed the influx of thousands of voters, including students of religious sciences, residents and expatriates, to visit through tourist groups to visit the holy shrines in Najaf Al-Ashraf./End
