A high-ranking Egyptian media delegation in Baghdad to see the status of the Iraqi scene and the cultural features of the capital

Baghdad / NINA / A Report by Youssef Salman: A high-ranking Egyptian media delegation arrived in the capital, Baghdad, today, Saturday, headed by Karam Kamel Jabr, Head of the Supreme Council for Media Organization, "Minister of Information", at the invitation of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate.

The delegation was received by the Head of the Union of Arab Journalists, the Head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Moayad Al-Lami, the Head of the Iraqi Media Network, Nabil Jassim, and the Head of the Media and Communications Authority, Ali Al-Moayad.

The Head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Moayad Al-Lami, said, in a joint press conference with the head of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation, Karam Jabr, today, Saturday, in Baghdad, that "the visit of the high-level Egyptian media delegation is to see the status of the capital Baghdad and the Iraqi scene, as well as to stand on the reconstruction and construction campaign and the effort." The effective governmental engineering and technical personnel to raise the level of services in Baghdad, and the delegation will also be briefed on the new buildings and cultural landmarks of the capital.

The Head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Moayad Al-Lami, appreciated the presence of the brothers from the Arab Republic of Egypt, which we always return to stand by Iraq, starting with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and all the Egyptian leadership.

The Head of the Supreme Council for Media Organization, Karam Jabr, said, "We will convey the greetings of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi to the new Prime Minister Muhammad Al-Sudani and all the Iraqi leaders, and our hopes that cooperation will continue in all fields and common issues between the two countries because Cairo and Baghdad are two important capitals in the region, and if they are enjoying with strength and prosperity, the entire Arab nation will also be in strength and prosperity."

He added, "I thank Mr. Moayad Al-Lami and the media authorities for this invitation to the Egyptian media delegation, and the warm welcome to the chief editors in national and private institutions, newspapers, and Egyptian satellite channels."

Jabr stressed, "Our presence in Baghdad is to actually witness the pioneering Iraqi experience, because we hear all the best about the Iraqi situation and local progress through what the various media outlets report that Iraq is taking steady steps towards progress and prosperity for the Iraqi people."

He went on to say, "We have many common issues that we can cooperate in, especially in the media field, and the most important issue is that we are messengers of love and peace and a permanent call for dialogue between the two peoples and the preservation of strong and prosperous relations between the two peoples, as we always contribute to rejecting and removing any black clouds in the sky of relations between the two countries, because we have common denominators that must be supported now and in the future."

Head of the Iraqi Media Network, Nabil Jassim, appreciated the visit of the Egyptian media delegation at the invitation of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, saying, "We have a dear guest, who is the high-ranking delegation from the Arab Republic of Egypt, represented by the head of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation, Karam Jabr, and the accompanying high-ranking delegation of newspaper editors, nationalism and colleagues who stand at the head of their media institutions.

He added, "Baghdad and Cairo are two important cities that strike at the roots of deep history, and even in our contemporary history, they are important capitals for communication and coordination between them at the highest levels, because of Iraq's depth and heritage in the world of journalism, as well as the Republic of Egypt, the history and great depth as well."

He explained, "Coordination at the highest levels and watching the new Iraq on the ground is a very important detail for our brothers from the Republic of Egypt to see what is happening on the ground and raise the level of coordination in all fields, especially the media side, which is a very important matter for Iraq's recovery within its Arab body from the Arab nation."

For his part, the head of the Media and Communications Authority, Ali Al-Moayyed, praised the presence of the Egyptian media delegation to Baghdad amid the rainy weather and coinciding with the glorious Christmas, indicating that "the authority and the Iraqi media network are supportive of this important step of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, which comes within the correct context in civilized relations and joint media between the two countries.

He added, "The presence of Karam Jabr, with his high position in the Egyptian media, and the good group of Egyptian media professionals working in solid institutions, increase this relationship with coherence and closeness."

He continued, "The Egyptian media delegation will have official meetings with media and governmental institutions, and we support the visits of these delegations because they are evidence of the prosperity and strength of Iraq," returning that "the mutual visits between Cairo and Baghdad are evidence of the recovery of relations, and they can be constructive relations in all areas of economic and political cooperation and social media, as well as the Iraqi media and the Egyptian media, are two brothers that can offer a lot to the people of the two countries.”/ End
