Baghdad / NINA / - Prepared by Yousef Salman: The proceedings of the sixth edition of the "Forum of Ancient Civilizations" will be launched in the capital, Baghdad, next Sunday, under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in the presence of Arab and foreign representatives of international, UN and diplomatic missions.
This year, Iraq is honored to chair and host the Forum of Ancient Civilizations on its soil, which is an important link in the series of initiatives taken by Iraqi foreign policy, using civilization as a soft power, and in coordination with Iraq's partners and friends.
The Forum of Ancient Civilizations will be held with the participation of a group of countries, as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued an official list of countries participating in the Forum of Ancient Civilizations for the year 2022, which are
1. Iraq _ chaired and hosted the forum to represent the civilizations of the Mesopotamia.
2. Greece _ representing the Greek civilization.
3. China _ representing the ancient Chinese civilization.
4. Egypt-_representating the Pharaonic civilization.
5. Iran - representing the civilization of Persia.
6. Mexico - representing the Mayan civilization.
7. Italy - representing the Roman civilization.
8. Bolivia - representing the Inca civilization.
9. Peru - representative of the Inca civilization.
10. Armenia - representative of the Urartu civilization.
The official Spokesperson for the Forum of Ancient Civilizations, Ahmed Al-Sahaf, confirmed that "the conference aims to enhance communication and exchange experiences between peoples and different cultures, preserve world heritage, and direct interest in historical and cultural tourism activity, because of its importance in achieving sustainable economic development, which contributes to supporting income of the nationalities of the member countries of the Forum.
It is noteworthy that the Forum of Ancient Civilizations is a Greek initiative, and its first official conference was held on the twenty-fourth of April 2017 in Athens, as dialogues and cultures are exchanged between the member states of the Forum, at the governmental level, in order to invest the importance of civilizational and cultural communication for economic and social development for the participating countries./ End
