In statements to reporters today, Akar said that the operation is continuing successfully and according to the drawn plan, and that the objectives of the first phase of the operation have been achieved despite the harsh weather conditions and rugged terrain.
He pointed out that the PKK militants, no matter how much they hide in the caves, they have no escape, and there is no salvation for them except by bringing them to the hands of justice, stressing that the Turkish army will not take a step back and that the search and survey operations are continuing and that the number of dead is likely to increase.
Akar indicated that he held a video conference with the commanders of the military units participating in the operation, where he was briefed on the current situation in the field and gave instructions in this regard.
