Al-Kut / NINA / -Al-Kut city today witnessed new confrontations between riot police and protesters who cut roads in the city center.
Member of the coordinating committee for the demonstrations, Mustafa Nimah, told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency /NINA/: "A group of protesters cut off roads in the city center and burned tires, in protest against the return of the governor of Wasit Muhammad al-Mayahi to his post by the administrative court."
He added: "The police dispersed the demonstrators and arrested a number of them from inside the square in front of the former provincial council."/ End
