Baquba / NINA /- The former Head of the Abu Saida district Council and one of his relatives were martyred in an armed attack northeast of Baquba.
A security source told the reporter of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) today that unidentified gunmen opened fire on a car in Abu Saida district Council former Chairman Saad Majeed Abbas near the village of al-Mahwala in the outskirts of the north-east of Baquba, killing him and his relative.
The bodies were taken to the forensic medicine department, he added.
A security source announced earlier today the assassination of the Director of the district of Abu Saida Harith al-Rubaie./ End
