Health Minister and WHO Regional Director Discuss Strengthening Cooperation
Baghdad /NINA/ - Minister of Health, Salih Mahdi al-Hasnawi, discussed strengthening cooperation between the World Health Organization and Iraq today, Sunday, with the Regional Director of the World Health Organization for the Eastern Mediterranean, Hanan Balkhi.
The Ministry of Health said in a statement that "Al-Hasnawi received Balkhi in the capital, Baghdad. The visit comes within the framework of strengthening cooperation between the World Health Organization and the Iraqi government."
He pointed out that "the visit includes holding high-level meetings with government officials and local and international community partners, discussing digital transformation in the health sector, climate and health challenges, in addition to conducting field visits to health facilities, drug stores, and centers specializing in mental health and addiction, which contributes to strengthening international partnerships and achieving Iraq's goals for sustainable health reform."/End
