Istanbul /NINA/ -The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced the killing of 13 militants from the banned Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in its operations in northern Iraq and Syria.
The Turkish Defense Ministry stated in a statement today, Friday, that six militants from the organization were killed in Kara region in operations carried out by units of the Turkish army in that snow-covered mountainous area in northern Iraq, while one of the Turkish army units stationed in the Peace Spring operations area in northern Syria managed to kill 7 militants from the organization.
It indicated in its statement that the Turkish army is carrying out operations to combat the terrorist organization "PKK" that targets its forces and citizens, and is active in several countries in the region, including Syria, Iraq and Iran.
