Istanbul / NINA / - The Turkish Intelligence Service announced the killing of two female leaders in the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) / banned / in a security operation carried out in northern Iraq.

The Turkish Intelligence Service stated in a media circular today, Monday, that the leader in the Workers' Party organization / Zeynep Aslan / nicknamed / Mitra Mani / and the leader / Zeliha Mahjoub / nicknamed " / Akin Dila " / joined the organization in 2015.

He indicated in his circular that the Turkish Intelligence received information that the two leaders were trained to carry out attacks against strategic targets in Turkey and were preparing to cross the border into Turkey in preparation for carrying out their terrorist operations.

The Turkish intelligence service stated that it had been monitoring the activities and movements of the two leaders and was able to eliminate them in a single operation in the Hakurk region in northern Iraq.

The Turkish intelligence indicated that the banned Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) has its stronghold in the Qandil Mountains in northern Iraq, and is active in many cities, regions and valleys, launching attacks on the Turkish interior from there, and that the Turkish army is working hard to dry up the sources of terrorism./End
