Istanbul / NINA /- The Turkish Defense Ministry announced the killing of 8 militants from the banned Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in its operations in northern Iraq and Syria.
The Turkish Defense Ministry stated in a statement today, Tuesday, that six militants from the organization were killed in the Hakurk and Kara regions in operations carried out by units of the Turkish army in those snow-covered mountainous areas in northern Iraq, while one of the Turkish army units stationed in the Peace Spring operations area in northern Syria was able to kill two militants from the organization.
In its statement, it indicated that the Turkish army is carrying out operations to combat the terrorist organization "PKK", which targets its forces and citizens, and is active in several countries in the region, including Syria, Iraq and Iran.
