Turkish security sources reported on Tuesday that Turkish intelligence agents tracked the movements of the organization's leader /Sima Koya Shaflik/ nicknamed Zilan Azak in the Hakurk region in northern Iraq, where they were able to get rid of her in a security operation carried out in the Hakurk countryside.
These sources explained that Shaflik had left her university education and joined the ranks of the terrorist organization in 2015, and worked in the heavy weapons battalion in Hakurk region, and was recently appointed by the organization's leaders to collect intelligence, reconnaissance and surveillance using drones due to her experience in this field.
The sources pointed out that Turkey is carrying out operations to combat the PKK organization, which targets forces and citizens and is active in several countries in the region, including Syria, Iraq and Iran. The armed organization is active in northern Iraq and has taken Qandil Mountains as its stronghold. It is also active in many cities, regions and valleys, and launches attacks on the Turkish interior from there. /End
