Turkish intelligence stated in a media circular today that the leader of the Kurdistan Workers' Party called Sadiq Sheikh Ahmed was active in the countryside of Sulaymaniyah Governorate and was preparing plans to target Turkish forces in northern Iraq and inside Turkish territory, and he was being followed by Turkish intelligence.
It indicated in its circular that Ahmed entered Turkish territory, then returned to Syria and joined the PKK and its military wing in 2015, before moving to northern Iraq to engage in the PKK's activities in the border areas between Iraq and Iran./End
