The Turkish Defense Ministry stated in a statement today that one of the Turkish army units in charge of the Claw Lock operations in northern Iraq detected a number of PKK militants approaching it, so it sought the help of fighter aircraft, which resulted in the killing of three of them and the withdrawal of the others.
It is noteworthy that the Turkish army had carried out a large military operation on April 18 of last year and is still continuing, called Claw Lock, against the strongholds of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party in the areas of Matina, Al-Zab, Afshin, and Bazian in northern Iraq./End
