A statement issued by the Turkish Defense said today, Sunday, that two soldiers were seriously wounded by the explosion of an explosive device planted by the "PKK" / Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants in the area of Operation Lock Claw in northern Iraq, and they were transferred to the hospital.
In its statement, the Turkish Defense indicated that Sergeant Khalil Yildiz died after being transferred to the hospital, despite all medical attempts to save him, and the soldier, Firat Guner, died of his severe injuries.
