Istanbul (NINA) - The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced the killing of an officer in the Turkish army after one of the Turkish army's sites was attacked by Kurdish militants in northern Iraq.
The Turkish Defense said in a statement today, Friday, that the officer was killed while he was responding to an armed attack by elements of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) in the area of Operation (Lock Claw) in northern Iraq.
It is noteworthy that the Turkish Defense had announced earlier the killing of six officers and 31 soldiers in its operations against the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) militants in northern Iraq./End
