وذكر مصدر في الادارة للوكالة الوطنية العراقية للانباء / نينا / ان ادارة النادي تعاقدت رسميا مع الكابتن قحطان جثير وسيقدمه الى الإعلام بمؤتمر صحفي يتم تحديد موعده بوقت لاحق.

واشار المصدر الى انه تم التباحث مع المدرب القدير على استقطاب لاعبين مميزين وهناك اسماء مطروحة للنقاش فضلا عن اختيار لاعبين محترفين على مستوى عال اضافة الى اللاعبين الشباب من ابناء النادي الذين ساهموا في صعود الفريق الى الدوري الممتاز ./ انتهى
