The Turkish defense stated in a statement today, Thursday, that one of the Turkish army units in charge of the operation lock claw in the Matina region, northern Iraq, monitored movements of a number of PKK militants in the area, and after a short clash, it managed to kill two of them and seize their weapons, while the rest of the militants fled from the area.
It is noteworthy that the Turkish army carried out a large-scale military operation on April 18 of last year, and it is still ongoing, dubbed "lock claw", against the strongholds of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in the regions of Matina, Al-Zab, Afshin and Bazian in northern Iraq./ End
