The Turkish Defense Ministry stated in two separate statements today, Monday, that its forces operating in the area of operations to lock the claw in northern Iraq monitored two leaders of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), and with a successful operation, they were able to kill them and seize their weapons, two Kalashnikov rifles, a grenade, 5.56 mm ammunition, an RPG and a sighting night scope, a camera and various living necessities belonging to them in the area.
It is noteworthy that the Turkish army carried out a large-scale military operation on April 18 of last year, and it is still ongoing, dubbed Lock of the Claw, against the strongholds of the PKK in the regions of Matina, Zab, Afshin and Bazian in northern Iraq.
On the other hand, the Turkish Defense announced the seizure of weapons and a large amount of ammunition belonging to the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in the Hakurk region, northern Iraq.
