Basra /NINA/ -The head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Muayad al-Lami, visited the syndicate's branch in Basra on Friday evening, accompanied by a delegation from the syndicate's council.
During his meeting with the head and members of the branch, al-Lami praised the role of Basra's journalists and media outlets in promoting social peace and conveying a positive image of the province.
Al-Lami called for "opening journalism training courses for new members to develop their skills and journalistic capabilities."
For his part, the head of the syndicate's branch, Sadiq al-Ali, said, "The visit of the head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Muayad al-Lami, to our branch fills us with pride as he meets with his fellow journalists in the Basra branch, which is always at the forefront, distinguished by its participation in the activities and events taking place in the province and its role in conveying a professional media message with complete transparency and impartiality."
