A source in the Nineveh Operations Command told the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that "the joint security and military forces and the Special Security Agency launched a security operation against the background of dozens of ISIS infiltrations in the village of Zour Kanous within Qayyarah district, 60 km south of Mosul."
The source added, "The security forces backed by army's aviation managed to arrest (17) ISIS militants and kill (two) of them, and found large numbers of different weapons and Katyusha rockets inside weapons and equipment caches in the village, and they were confiscated."
The source pointed out that "the forces participating in the military operation imposed a security cordon on the residents of the village and began a search campaign for wanted people inside the village." / End
