Baghdad (NINA) - The Iraqi Forces Coalition announced today, Wednesday, its support for the candidacy of Mustafa Al-Kadhemi to the Prime Minister and the formation of the new government.

In a statement, the Coalition affirmed "its steadfast and supportive stance is to stabilize Iraq and move towards national options in forming the government within the constitutional contexts."

It added: "As it reaffirms its adherence to the foundations of national unity in front of the challenges facing our country and our Iraqi people, at the same time affirms its commitment to the unity of the political ranks, in order to overcome the difficult stage and the great risks that the country suffers on the health, security, economic and political levels."

The coalition indicated that it is in this context that it places its interests that the candidate for Prime Minister, who want voting for his government in the House of Representatives, should have the approval and support of the political forces responsible for the nomination, and that he enjoys acceptance at the national level. "

It affirmed its support for the agreement of the political blocs concerned to nominate Mustafa Al-Kadhemi as PM and the formation of the new government.

It pointed out that "the coalition forces are proud that their role will always be to establish peace, dialogue and understanding among the Iraqi people, and to reject division, discord and political intersections, in the service of the aspirations of our people, and in response to its legitimate demands for security, peace and reform." / End
