Chalabi visits Talabani in hospital

Baghdad (NINA) – Leader of the Iraqi National Congress, Ahmed al-Chalabi, paid a visit on Monday, July 2, to President Jalal Talabani, in hospital in Germany.

A statement issued by the INC said that Chalabi visited Talabani to be assured of the President's healt wishing him speedy recovery and to return home soon.

For his part, President Talabani thanked Chalabi and the delegation accompanying him for his visit and for being troubled in travelling to visit him.

On June 20, President Talabani underwent a knee surgery; and early this year, he underwent a surgery in his spine. / End.
